River Ranch Acres

50,000-acre community in Polk County, and the people who own a piece of it. What the place is, who runs the gates, and why somebody out here built an app for it.

The Network

It gets better every time a neighbor signs up

Satellites are good, but the guy who drove in an hour ago is faster. More people out here means quicker fire warnings, better road reports, more eyes on the gate, and more trail on the map.

Fire Warnings Get Faster

The satellite pass runs around the clock on its own, but a person who sees smoke beats it. Every new neighbor is another set of eyes.

The Feed Gets Worth Reading

Gate codes, wash-outs, who is coming out Saturday. Ten people is a quiet board. A hundred is the thing you check before you leave the house.

Trails Grow Automatically

Every ride you record lands on the community map. Nothing to submit, nothing to fill out. Just ride.

Road Reports Cover More Ground

Somebody else drove it this morning, so you already know. The more people call it in, the more of the place is covered.
